A bitcoin mining firm is searching for an Asset Management and Settlements Analyst to join it energy team. This role will evolve over time as this company continues to grow rapidly, so it requires strong self-motivation and autonomy to achieve high-level results. Position will support ERCOT and MISO markets initially and will expand over time. Responsibilities include:

 

  • Reviewing and reconciling cost/revenue allocations derived from wholesale and retail energy transactions,
  • Providing timely and accurate utility and ISO billing calculations,
  • Maintaining a database of utility tariff data for operating projects,
  • Validating load and generator meter data at operational centers,
  • Working with key internal and external stakeholders to extract data to spreadsheets and analyze costs and revenues,
  • Producing reports on market performance of operating assets (front-of-meter and collocated generators) for key stakeholders,
  • Collaborating with the Finance team for planning, reporting, and analysis, and
  • Tracking environmental performance of operating assets.

 

Educational and professional requirements include a bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field; 1-3 years’ experience with energy markets and electricity settlements; ability to work autonomously and deliver high-level results; familiarity with energy contracts and tariffs; and strong communication and analytical skills.
