A solar and battery storage developer is searching for an experienced project developer to lead the implementation of utility-scale solar projects in the PJM, MISO, SERC and TVA power markets. Responsibilities include:


  • Managing the project budgets and revenue forecasts for utility-scale solar projects in the northeast;
  • Negotiating real estate contracts (options to lease/purchase, easements, etc) with landowners;
  • Overseeing and leading project permitting and approval processes with local, state and federal agencies (including both local land use and environmental permitting);
  • Initiating and managing generation interconnection activities;
  • Evaluating and managing potential suppliers and outside consultants;
  • Implementing community outreach programs with landowners, community leaders and environmental organizations; and
  • Supporting project financing efforts.


The position reports to the SVP Strategy & Development and can be remote (WFH) or based in the Philadelphia area. It does require travel to project sites in the PJM, MISO, SERC and TVA power markets.

Educational and professional requirements include a bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field; 5-10 years’ experience in project management for utility-scale power or renewable energy projects; strong knowledge of the PJM, MISO, SERC and TVA power markets and familiarity with the regulatory environments in these markets; and strong public speaking and presentation skills.
